Applications for the KAUST Global Postdoctoral Fellowship (Call 2027) will open on September 1, 2026. The application portal is not accepting entries at this time. Thank you for your interest — we encourage you to check back when the call opens.

A two-stage application process

Stage 1 — Concept Note (September 1 – October 1, 2026)
Submit a short Concept Note outlining your proposed Fellow-led research and its alignment with KAUST's current research priorities. A Host PI is not required at this stage, though applicants may identify up to three potential Host PIs in the application form.

Stage 2 — Full Proposal (by invitation only, deadline January 15, 2027)
Following review of Concept Notes and confirmation of Host PI support, selected applicants are invited to submit a full research proposal for committee evaluation.

Prepare in advance

To be ready when the call opens, we recommend having the following materials prepared:

• Concept Note (template)
• Updated CV with publications (max 4 pages)
• Two representative publications
• Two referees available to submit recommendation letters via the system upon request
