THE FELLOWSHIP PROGRAM FOR EMERGING RESEARCH LEADERS
The KAUST Global Fellowship Program supports outstanding emerging research leaders and scientists from around the world to build their path towards a fully independent career. The program inspires the young generation of scientists and engineers to explore and address global challenges and opportunities for the benefit of humanity. The program is merit based, targeting excellent postdocs with breakthrough ideas to complement, support, contribute and advance the major research initiatives of KAUST. In our 'research-first' environment, Global Fellows have full access to key research tools, equipment, unparalleled facilities, and expertise surrounded by a strong community of excellence.
11 December, 2022
The first meeting was held at one of the KAUST campus restaurants with the participation of the awarded Global Fellows, their host PIs, the Deans, the Associate Vice Presidents, and the Vice President for Research.
After months of administrative processes and weeks of preparation, we were thrilled to bring together and meet up with Cohort 2022.
The Vice President for Research, Pierre Magistretti, welcomed and congratulated the awarded Global Fellows by expressing his and the VPR Office’s support during their journey here in KAUST:
“We are delighted to have you being part of our community of excellence! We are here to support you in every step and to applaud your successes on the way!”
He also thanked the Host PIs and academic mentors of the Global Fellows for opening their labs and research centers to support and guide them during their independent research career path.
